JVS data in public institutions and small businesses in France

This proposal pertains to improvements of Labour Market statistics collected from Businesses (LMB) in the context of the LMB review. Its objective is to enable France to achieve full coverage of its economy in accordance with the JVS regulation. Presently, job vacancies data in France do not yet cover small businesses (under 10 employees). In addition, in the sectors of public administration, education and human health (NACE Rev. 2 sections O, P and Q), public institutions are presently not fully covered. However, according to the forthcoming requirements of the JVS regulation, from 2026 onward, France has to provide statistics on job vacancies covering all of its economy. In order to be able to comply with the future JVS regulation, we intend to create a vacancies survey of public institutions in France. Moreover, we plan to transform our yearly vacancies data on business units with 1 to 9 employees into quarterly data. This will allow, using data on businesses with 10 employee or more, to obtain a number of vacancies covering all the French economy as required by the future JVS regulation.
