K Line North Light Rail Extension

planned

The K Line Northern Extension (KNE) is a key north-south light rail subway extension in Southern California that will connect the Metro B, D, and E Lines. The extension will serve densely populated central neighborhoods with job, retail, and entertainment destinations. The preferred alignment is roughly ten miles long with nine stations, extending from the current K Line terminus at Exposition/Crenshaw to the D Line at Wilshire/Fairfax and the B Line at Hollywood/Highland, including stations in Los Angeles and West Hollywood. The first phase (initial operating segment - IOS) will extend about four miles from the E Line to the D Line.
