K-State MIA Recovery and Identification Project

under progress

K-State’s MIA Recovery and Identification Project is working to bring home American service members listed as missing in action. The project involves searching military records, DNA evidence, and crash site data to identify remains of missing soldiers from U.S. conflicts over the past century. The project has successfully identified individuals such as 1st Lt. Robert P. Aikman and is currently working on cases like 2nd Lt. Victor Dolecek, whose remains may be buried overseas as unidentified servicemembers.
