Kabanga Nickel Project

The Kabanga Nickel Project is one of the world's largest and highest-grade development-ready nickel sulfide deposits located in Tanzania. The project involves pre-FID activities, early works, development activities, and project financing workstreams. Technical and operational progress includes geotechnical investigations, borehole drilling, topographical surveys, milling technical notes, and infrastructure development such as the 220kV TANESCO overhead line. Procurement and contract readiness are advancing with critical path expressions of interest approved and released. Project execution readiness is progressing with governance, cost management frameworks, and labor plans. All material permits for current activities are in place, and camp upgrades are underway. In-country beneficiation activities are ongoing to define downstream beneficiation and refining pathways.
