The project entails the construction of a 40.5MW capacity windfarm, with 27 Regen V87 type wind turbines and a 1.5MW wind turbine generator in Tirumalayapalli, Kadapa district, State of Andhra Pradesh, by Hetero Wind Power (Pennar) Pvt Ltd. Sponsor is Hetero Wind Power, a Hetero Group Company. The project company has signed Power Purchase Agreement with Southern Power Distribution company of AP Limited (DISCOM) for Andhra Pradesh State Utility at a tariff of Rs.4.83 per unit for a period of 25 years from the Commercial Operation Date. The project is expected to achieve COD on July 31, 2016. The project is eligible for revenue subsidy under the Generation Based Incentive Scheme in the Wind Power Sector in India. The total project cost is $38.8 million. Financing comprises a $29.1 million 15-year term loan provided by IndusInd Bank, and an equity contribution of $9.7 million.
