Description | In May 2012, a local private company Beijing Sound Environmental Protection Group signed a 30 year agreement with the Kai County Government to build and operate a solid waste power plant in Kai County, Chongqing Municipality. The plant would have a capacity of 12MW and could process 600 tons of solid waste per day. The total investment was RMB 307.5888 million (US$ 48.75 million) and Beijing Sound had a 100% stake in the project. Construction actually started in Jan 2012 and would be finished in Dec 2012. A SPV Chongqing Lvneng New Energy Co., Ltd was registered in Kai County in Jun 2012 with a registration capital of RMB 80 million. |
