Description | The Kalkaroo Copper-Gold Project is a major copper mining project in South Australia's far north, located in the highly prospective Curnamona Province, 450 km northeast of Adelaide. The project involves unlocking one of Australia's largest undeveloped open pit copper-gold deposits through a partnership between South Australian mining company Havilah and copper producer Sandfire. Sandfire will invest $30 million in exploration activities over two years and acquire an 80% interest in the project from Havilah for up to $210 million. The project aims to expand the existing ore reserve and conduct a pre-feasibility study to assess the ore body extent. |
