Description | Kalpataru Satpura Transco Private Limited is a transmission project initiated by Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL) in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Limited (MPPTCL). The project was awarded under the DBFOT VGF model. The primary objective of this project was to facilitate the evacuation of power generated from the 2×250 MW extension units at Satpura Thermal Power Station in Madhya Pradesh. To achieve this, a 400 kV DCDS overhead transmission line was constructed, spanning approximately 240 km from Sarni to Ashta. The Kalpataru Satpura Transco project was successfully commissioned in April 2015, strengthening the power transmission infrastructure in the region. It operated under the ownership of KPTL for a concession period of 25 years, with the possibility of extension for another 10 years to ensure the smooth flow of electricity. |
