Description | The Kambarata-1 project is a strategic hydroelectric dam on the Naryn River in Kyrgyzstan with an installed capacity of around 1,860 MW and an expected annual production of approximately 5,640 GWh. The total investment is estimated between $3.5 billion and $4.5 billion with a construction period of about six and a half years. The Asian Development Bank is considering financing the initial phase with $130 million to $150 million. The project has regional significance with cooperation from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan and potential support from the World Bank, AIIB, and Eurasian Development Bank. |
