The Kamloops Canada Games Aquatic Centre Rehabilitation project will integrate energy efficient upgrades to the building envelope, mechanical and electrical systems in an existing recreation centre that is in need of improvements due to age. The Centre represents a significant portion of the City’s greenhouse gas emissions and this project will provide the opportunity to reduce the energy use and increase overall building durability. The project works will include: - integrate boiler plants; - pool dehumidification and heat recovery; - electric air source heat pump; - upgraded envelope insulation; - upgraded roof insulation and reconstruction of parapets; and - triple glazed windows.
