Kanaka Line Stations Casting Yard for Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project

A new casting yard and batching plant were inaugurated at Huskur Station on Corridor-4 (Kanaka Line) of the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Transport Project (BSTP) to accelerate station construction and improve quality standards. The yard is established for construction works related to nine stations on the Kanaka Line, stretching from Heelalige to Rajanukunte via Yelahanka. It features two gantry cranes with a lifting capacity of 60 metric tonnes each and a computerised batching plant to ensure consistent concrete quality, aiming to complete girder casting in 10-12 months instead of two years.
