Kandla port concession

This project comprises the concession of Kandla port, also known as Deendayal port, located Kandla city, Kutch district, Gujarat state, India. The 30 years concession will see the upgrade, operate and maintain of two container berth terminals - Berth 11 and 12 on design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DFBOT) basis. This project also involves the purchase of equipment and yard expansion for capacity expansion, as well as increasing the throughput by 0.15 million TEUs - from 0.60 million Twenty Foot Equivalent (TEU) to 0.75 million TEUs. The total amount of the investment is $32m, of which $30m are provided with a loan from the IFC and the rest will be provided by the sponsor International Cargo Terminals & Infrastructure Pvt Ltd (ICTIPL). The project company is Kandla International Container Terminal Private Limited (KICT).
