Kanpur Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Park

Planned

The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) will develop a cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) park over 500 acres near Bhimsen, along the Dedicated Freight Corridor. The project aims to establish Kanpur as a major hub for EV manufacturing, strengthening the local supply chain and promoting indigenous manufacturing. The park will include units for manufacturing electric motors, chassis, steel parts, lithium-ion cells, and facilities for assembling lithium-ion batteries, chargers, controllers, and electronic components. A dedicated R&D centre will drive innovation and advanced product development. An integrated EV components cluster will support SMEs, creating employment and opportunities for entrepreneurs. The project is strategically located for logistics and connectivity, aiming to boost the state's economy and promote clean energy.
