Description | Kansas City, Missouri, is planning to build a new water treatment plant in the East Bottoms area to increase overall water capacity. The plant is expected to add capacity of 60 million to 240 million gallons of water a day and could cost between $600 million and $2 billion. This would be the second water treatment plant within the city limits, addressing the aging infrastructure of the existing plant which is nearly 100 years old. The new plant aims to support the city's water demands, including those from four massive hyperscale data centers in the Northland. |
