The project, including the entertainment district and the ballpark, could cost up to $3 billion and represents the biggest public-private collaboration in Kansas City's history. Hallmark will demolish its headquarters to create space for the stadium and owns almost all of the 85-acre footprint. Funding will come two-thirds from the Royals and private investors, and one-third from the City of Kansas City and the State of Missouri. The stadium will be city-owned. |
