Kansas’ first hyperscale data center

under construction

Construction for what developers are calling the first hyperscale data center in Kansas is underway in De Soto. The project initially proposed as a four-building campus totaling 1.14 million square feet has been expanded to nearly 3 million square feet, more than doubling its initially suggested scope. The expansion includes a closed-loop, air-cooled facility to minimize water use. The project is aligned with city zoning regulations and is expected to have significant economic impacts, including payments to the city and school district.
