Description | The Second Karachi Power Project in West Pakistan's objective is to assist in the expansion of a steam station as well as additions to the transmission and distribution network. It will consist of a steam generating plant, installation of protective equipment, extension of the 66 KV transmission system, and expansion of the distribution system. Due to the rapid industrial development since Karachi became the capital city and the manufacturing center of a new country of Pakistan, the need for electric power has greatly increased. This project will have a substantial impact on the economic development of Karachi and the surrounding area. |
