Description | The project consists of an extension of KESC's generating facilities by the addition of a 125 MW generating unit to the existing Korangi power station, the extension of the existing transmission and distribution system, the purchase of certain construction, maintenance and accounting equipment, and the provision of consulting services. The size of the generating unit to be installed conforms with the views of the bank's study group as the best means of filling the gap until interconnection with WAPDA becomes economic. The unit would thereafter fit well into the thermal power requirements of the system. |
