Kartavya Bhawan under Common Central Secretariat Project

under construction

Kartavya Bhawan is the first of ten planned buildings under the Common Central Secretariat (CCS) project aimed at housing various government offices to streamline interdepartmental correspondence by bringing multiple ministries together in one place. The project is part of the Central Vista Redevelopment Project and includes the construction of ten CCS buildings, expected to be completed by June 2027. The first building, Kartavya Bhawan 03, accommodates key ministries such as Home Affairs, External Affairs, Rural Development, MSME, DoPT, Petroleum and Natural Gas, and the office of the Principal Scientific Adviser. The project also involves shifting ministries from rented buildings and historic locations like North Block at Raisina Hills to new premises.
