The project includes the construction and installation of a new 132kV overhead power line connecting the Kasiya site to the Nkhoma substation, about 97km away. This power supply will support the project's steady-state operations and is linked to the development of the Mpatamanga Hydropower Storage Project (MHSP), which will add 358MW of generation capacity to Malawi's grid by 2030. |
