Deployment of Kavach, an indigenous Automatic Train Protection system developed by the Research Designs and Standards Organisation, to enhance railway safety by monitoring train speed and signal status and automatically applying brakes if necessary. The system has been commissioned on over 1,400 route kilometres and is being implemented on more than 24,000 kilometres of the network.
