The mine, which closed in 1994, is expected to initially produce 23,000 tonnes of carbon graphite annually, increasing to 50,000 tonnes. GBM has hired engineering firm WSP to revise a 2018 feasibility study, with an updated document expected by fall 2026. GBM is also considering building an anode material plant in North America with an annual processing capacity of about 50,000 tonnes. |
