Kedgwick - Replacement of water and sewer infrastructure - Rue Notre-Dame

This project consists of replacing the existing 60-year-old water and sewer service pipes on rue Notre-Dame from the intersection of rue des Montagnes to rue Saint Jean Baptiste as well as installing a new storm sewer line to separate sanitary sewer collection service. The work also involves replacing concrete curbs and sidewalks. The road will then be rebuilt to provincial standards, along with the replacement of ten benches, two new speed cameras, and two new flashing pedestrian crossings. All of this work will be done within the limits of the existing public road on Notre-Dame Street. The work will eliminate boil water advisories issued due to emergency work and reduce surface water infiltration into the sanitary system. The result will be better drinking water security for the population as well as improved stormwater management.
