Description | The Ken-Betwa Link Project is India's first river interlinking project designed to transfer water from the Ken River to the Betwa River to improve water availability in the drought-prone Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. The project involves the construction of the Daudhan Dam and a network of canals to provide reliable water supply for agriculture and household use, irrigate nearly 10.6 lakh hectares of farmland, provide drinking water to around 62 lakh people, and generate 103MW of hydropower and 27 MW of solar power. |
