Kenosha-Racine-Milwaukee Commuter Rail Extension

planned

A proposed commuter rail extension project to connect Kenosha, Racine, and Milwaukee. The project involves creating a commission to negotiate inter-governmental agreements, seek funding, develop stations, coordinate with railroads, and connect with state and federal transportation departments. The project aims to establish passenger rail service that has been envisioned for decades, with potential funding from tax incremental financing districts around new stations.
