Description | A family in northern Kentucky rejected a $26 million offer to sell nearly half of their 1,200-acre farmland near Maysville for a proposed Artificial Intelligence data centre project. The family expressed concerns about food security, environmental impact, and their generational ties to the land. Despite the lucrative offer, they opposed the sale, calling the project a scam. The company has since revised plans using parcels sold by other landowners, and a rezoning proposal for nearly 2,000 acres has been submitted with a public hearing expected. |
