Kenyatta University (KU) is located about 23 km from the city of Nairobi. The Public Private Partnership (PPP) project involves procuring and financing the development of accommodation for its students.The project involves the provision of housing for about 10,000 students, as per the following percentages:- Undergraduate sharing Hostels to accommodate 93.5%- Postgraduate sharing Hostels to accommodate 5%- Postgraduate bedsitters/studios Hostels to accommodate 1.5%The project will be developed on a built, operate and transfer (BOT) basis. The contract will have a period of 20 years and is valued at Sh5 billion (US$50 million).
