Description | The Centre has approved Rs 20,390 million for various national highway development projects in Kerala, including construction of the Bairakuppa Bridge, works on National Highway 744, and the Kozhikode-Palakkad National Highway stretch. The programme aims to upgrade key corridors and reduce bottlenecks. Additional approvals include ropeway projects at Sabarimala, Munnar, and Wayanad, and development of the Kadavoor-Chengannur Aanjilimoodu stretch into a four-lane road. Construction of an elevated highway from Ramanattukara to Calicut International Airport and connections between bypasses are also directed. |
