The support assisted in two special areas increasing flood safety. On the one hand, it was used in the design of dam development and also in the complete design on the right bank sections of Kettos-Kórós, including also the preparation of the plan for the water right permit, the feasibility study and an implementation plan. On the other hand, the support also provided considerable assistance in designing the reconstruction and demolition of the structures in the dam. Advanced water management, predictable planning and co-operation of water management authorities increase flood protection safety on both sides of the river and the border. Thus they provide considerable contribution in the boost of personal and property safety of the people living in the area.
