Kharpada Bridge BOT Project consisted of construction of Major Bridge across Patalganga River and ROB near village Kharpada on Panvel - Mahad - Panji Road, National Highways No. 17 including approach road at both side. The total length was 1.4 km. The project was awarded by Ministry of Road Transport & Highways on behalf of Government of India to IRB Infrastructure under a 17 year and 9 month concession contract including 24 months of construction period. The concession contract was signed in November 1997 and the starting period (construction) was also November 1997. The construction phase was completed in July 1999. The concession period was to end in August 2015. The project cost was estimated to be INR 320 Millions (US$8.8 million). The project reached financial closure in November 1997 with a loan from ICICI Limited and United Western Bank Ltd.
