Information CAO/C/SECR has come up with KHARSIA- NAYA RAIPUR-PARMALKASA 5th and 6th Line [278KM] with a ticket size of 7853.84 INR Crores. This project in Railway Track sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The project line originates from Kharsia station on the Bilaspur-Jharsugda Line to Parmalkasa on the Bilaspur-Nagpur Line, passing through 8 districts [Raigarh, Janjgir-Champa, Sakti, Bilaspur, Baloda Bazar, Raipur, Durg, and Rajnandgaon] of Chhattisgarh State. The entire land for the project is to be acquired. The land width requirement varies as per the height of embankment and cutting required for formation and has been considered as per the code for the Engineering Department. About 1715.85 Hectares of land [Private, Government] is required for the project. There are 21 stations in this project connecting all major towns and villages. In this Project, there are 03 Important Bridges, 45 Major Bridges, 349 Minor Bridges, 5 Rail Over Rail flyovers,14 Road over bridges, and 184 RUB/LHS for crossing village roads.
