Description | Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) commissioned a 3.37 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Khavda in Gujarat, one of the world's largest single-location battery storage projects outside China. The system stores clean energy to power nearly one million homes for a day and supports peak electricity demand in cities like Indore and Chandigarh, as well as the state of Goa. The project was completed within 10 months of construction and integrates advanced energy management and lithium-ion battery technology. AGEL plans to expand storage capacity to over 10 GWh in FY27 and up to 50 GWh in five years. |
