Description
Description | Adani Green Energy Limited commissioned a 3.37 GWh battery energy storage system at Khavda in Gujarat, which is the world's largest single-location battery storage deployment outside China. The project was completed within 10 months and aims to improve grid reliability and enable round-the-clock renewable power supply by storing electricity generated from renewable sources and releasing it during peak demand periods. The system can power nearly 1 million homes for a day and meet peak electricity demand of cities like Indore and Chandigarh or the entire state of Goa. The project uses lithium-ion battery technology and advanced energy management systems and is part of a broader 30 GW renewable energy park development at Khavda by 2029. |
