Description
Description | Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) added over 5 GW of renewable energy capacity in FY26, with most of the new capacity commissioned at the Khavda renewable energy project in Gujarat. The Khavda project is being developed as the world's largest renewable energy plant, spread across 538 square kilometres, and is planned to scale up to 30 GW by 2029. The project uses bifacial solar modules, solar trackers, 5.2 MW wind turbines, and waterless robotic cleaning systems to maximize electricity generation and reduce water usage. Additionally, an initial 1,376 MWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) was brought online at Khavda to support grid stability and renewable integration. |
