Information THDC India Limited has come up with Khurja super Thermal Power Plant [2X660 MW] with a ticket size of 11089.42 INR Crores. This project in Energy Generation [Non-Renewable] sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project Khurja Super Thermal Power Project is based on Supercritical Technology with two units of capacity 660 MW each. It is located at Khurja, District Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh. The project is being implemented by THDC India Limited. The MoU for implementation of the project was signed between THDCIL, G/o Uttar Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited on 31.12.2010. Amelia Coal Mine was allotted to THDC India Limited by M/o Coal in January, 2017. The project will improve the deficit power scenario of northern region, particularly of Uttar Pradesh. Plant shall generate 9264 MU of energy at 85percentage PLF. Power Purchase Agreement has been signed with beneficiary states. 60percentage of the power will be supplied to the G/o Uttar Pradesh- other beneficiary states are Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi. The investment approval for the project was accorded on 07.03.2019. The sanction cost of the project is Rs. 11,089 cr. Honourable Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of Khurja STPP on 09.03.2019. The scheduled completion is February, 2024 and anticipated completion is August, 2024. Environmental clearance and all other statutory clearances required for the project have been obtained. Total land [1,201 acre] required for the project is in possession. All packages worth Rs. 7724 Crs have already been awarded and Work is in progress in full swing in all fronts.
