This unit is part of a larger 1,320 MW coal-based thermal power project located in Bulandshahr district, Uttar Pradesh, with an investment of approximately Rs 13,000 crore. The project incorporates advanced technologies such as Flue Gas De-sulphurization (FGD) to reduce environmental impact and sources coal from the Amelia coal mine in Singrauli district. Unit 1 began commercial operations on January 25, 2025, and the synchronisation of Unit 2 marks a crucial step towards full commissioning of the project. |
