Description | The Kicking Horse River and Hospital Creek Dike Improvements project consists of upgrading the existing earthen dike infrastructures along the Kicking Horse River and Hospital Creek to meet 1:200 year flood elevation. Project consists of consists of 820 m of dike raising by armoring, face reshaping and dike vegetation habitat restoration and installation of one monitoring station. This project would minimize the potential impact of future flooding events making the community flood protection infrastructures better able to contain freshet river flows and winter ice jams. |
