Description

Description

The mission of Kids Kino IFF is to promote and support the development of quality films for young audiences as well as to educate children, guardians, teachers, and industry members. Our activities are based on the 360-degree scheme, where Kids Kino IFF is a focal point and brand which supports our additional and year-round projects. We are all about helping create high-quality content for kids: from the initial stage of the project (Kids Kino.Lab script development workshop), through the search for co-producers, funding, sales agents, or broadcasters (Kids Kino Industry), to the moment when the film is ready to be shown to the audience (at the festival – Kids Kino IFF, in distribution – Kids Kino Presents, as part of educational activities – New Horizons of Film Education). Our values, including environmental protection, gender balance, tolerance, and openness to diversity, are clearly represented in the programme of the festival and in our daily activities. To promote and support ambitious and diverse films for young audiences, we use all the available new technologies. Our readiness to run online projects (on the VOD platform that we have created) is a great example of this approach. As renowned Polish children’s film experts, we can work in well-organised conditions and with professional managers. Our projects which support education and promote film production are recognised in Poland and abroad. Kids Kino IFF is Poland’s largest and only festival focused on the youngest viewers (children aged 4 to 14: preschoolers and primary school students). The Kids Kino Industry event that accompanies the festival is the first industry forum in Central and Eastern Europe focused on films for young audiences. The particular elements of the Kids Kino brand are all interrelated and internally coherent: this is the strongest point of our festival, which means that it is not only an event that lasts a couple of days but an event that links our year-long activities.
