Description | Kinderoase is a childcare centre designed by Kéré Architecture, located at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). It is a five-storey building with a timber structure almost free of cement, wrapped in Corten steel slats. The building provides 700m2 of space for 60 children, organized around a central spiral staircase leading to a roof terrace. It features child-friendly design elements such as wooden slides connecting floors and colorful interiors. The project was planned and built in record time, with initial design ideas in September 2020, groundbreaking in April 2024, and opening in July 2026. |
