King St. Combined Sewer Separation

The project will improve storm sewers, a watermain and a sanitary sewer along King Street in L’Orignal, Ontario. The work will involve completing an inflow and infiltration study, constructing 450 metres of new storm sewer, replacing 250 metres of undersized storm sewer and 450 metres of watermain, relining 450 metres of sanitary sewer and installing associated fixtures such as hydrants, valves, manholes, and catch basins. The project will address significant inflow and infiltration issues that overwhelm the capacity of the wastewater treatment plant during heavy rainfalls, which will reduce occasional releases of untreated effluent in a local waterway and extend the service life of the wastewater facility.
