Kingsbridge Armory Redevelopment

The redevelopment of the 115-year-old Kingsbridge Armory in the Bronx aims to transform the 570,000-square-foot building into a multiuse space including affordable housing, an event venue, sports fields, commercial and cultural space, community space, and an educational facility focused on workforce development. The project has received key approvals from the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission and Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson, who has also allocated $3 million in capital funding to support the proposal. The partnership 8th Regiment Partners, consisting of Maddd Equities and Joy Construction, was selected by the city to complete the redevelopment after a year-and-a-half-long selection process.
