Kingston High-Speed Rail Station Addition

planned

The project involves the potential addition of a high-speed rail station in Kingston as part of the Alto high-speed rail route. The addition aims to expand access to high-speed rail for most residents of eastern Ontario, connecting Kingston and its broader regional catchment area to major hubs such as Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. The project is currently under assessment considering construction costs, ridership impact, regional accessibility, technical feasibility, economic and social benefits, and long-term operational performance.
