Kistelek – Magyarkanizsa complementary touristic development based on natural resources as interconnected diverse elements of the regional touristic system

The project is aimed at enhancing the tourism potentials of the targeted area by improving the tourist offer along the route of Kistelek and Kanjiza (Magyarkanizsa). It includes the four main project aspects each of which consists of a number of acti vities contributing to meeting the main project objective – to develop the tourism in the territory of Kanjiza and Kistelek Municipality. The first aspect includes extension of the existing spa in Kistelek Municipality which would contribute to promo tion of health tourism which is in line with the priorities of the relevant „Integrated Spa Development Strategy” (HUSRB/1203/213/155). Objective is to provide a centre where different health-lifestyle counseling and supportive medical treatment coul d be presented thus attention of tourists could be guided towards health tourism. The second aspect of the project is infrastructural development of the location in Kanjiza Municipality, revitalization of the existing sport capacities and constructio n of multifunctional sport field along with required sanitary infrastructure. The third project aspect is aimed at organisation of the youth summer camp which should contribute on one hand to promotion and enhancement of youth tourism in the area and on the other to raising awareness of the healthy lifestyles among youth through specific recreational, competitive and educational activities. The fourth aspect of the project is focused on the development of the web site/mobile optimized software c onnecting regional tourist offers on the route between Kistelek and Kanjiza offering to potential visitors specific thematic content. This aims to raise attention to the tourism opportunities of the region. More specifically, overall project should l ead to longer stay of visitors in the region giving special emphasis to youth as well as boost the existing tourist offer in the region through further development of the existing capacities.
