Description	The Kitimat LNG project was a proposed liquefied natural gas export terminal located at Bish Cove near Kitimat, British Columbia. It was planned to be one of the largest LNG exporting terminals on the B.C. coast. The project was jointly owned by Chevron Corp. and Woodside Energy Group Ltd., each holding a 50% stake. The project was cancelled in 2021 after significant investment and inability to secure buyers. The Haisla Nation's Bish LNG GP Ltd. has reached a deal to acquire the permits, licences, and remaining land tenures of the abandoned project, subject to approval from B.C.'s Environmental Assessment Office.
