Kitselas First Nation - Kitselas Community Recreation Centre

The project will construct an approximately 1,700 square meter two-storey community recreation centre near Terrace. The building will include a theatre, multi-purpose rooms, fitness room, gym, and commercial kitchen and be an important gathering space for the Kitselas First Nation. The project will provide essential space for wellness and recreation for all ages as well as community gatherings and cultural events. The project will also improve access to, and quality of, recreation in a primarily indigenous area where the nearest recreation facility is more than 22 kilometers away. The project works will include: - community theatre; - outdoor amphitheatre - cultural classroom; - weight room; - conference room; - gym; - commercial kitchen; - reception area; - youth program area; - elder centre area; and, - other related works.
