Description

The project will increase the quality of community and recreation infrastructure by completing upgrades to the Kitsumkalum Community Hall. The hall was built in the 1900’s and is need of improvements to ensure that it remains viable for community use. The hall has been used for various community events including concerts, dances and craft fairs. The wide variety of uses makes it an important gathering place. The project works will include: - community hall kitchen upgrade including ventilation, electrical and plumbing; - commercial appliances; - installation of a fire suppression system; - installation of HVAC system; - installation of a back up generator; - roof repair; - replace wood gymnasium floor; - upgrades to the interior for cultural accuracy; and - related works.
