Description | The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) is conducting a pilot project involving an e-auction for the selection of agencies to operate car parking lots on 18 road stretches in Kolkata. This new system aims to avoid delays in allotting parking slots by removing the requirement of having at least three bidders for the auction to be valid. The pilot includes five lots in prime central and south Kolkata areas and part of EM Bypass, accommodating up to 482 cars.
