Knauf Rock Wool Manufacturing Facility at Shotton Steelworks

planned

The project involves the remediation and preparation of 17.68 hectares of land at Shotton Steelworks for the construction of a rock wool manufacturing facility by Knauf. The first phase includes cleaning up the site, erecting boundary fencing, building a temporary haul road, setting up welfare facilities, diverting a private sewer, disconnecting redundant utilities, removing topsoil, and processing ground obstructions. Two existing structures will be retained. Environmental mitigations have been approved to protect nearby conservation areas.
