Description	The Slovenian passenger rail transport company ZSSK has signed a contract for the delivery of 36 Škoda battery trains manufactured by the ŽOS Trnava consortium. These zero-emission trains will modernize regional rail transport in Slovakia, replacing diesel trains on non-electrified lines and offering seamless travel between electrified and non-electrified sections. The trains are based on the Panter electric train platform with added traction battery systems, capable of running up to 160 km/h on electrified lines and 120 km/h on batteries, with a range of at least 80 kilometers on non-electrified sections.
