Kojetín–Přerov Rail Section Modernisation

Construction has started on the 17 km Kojetín – Přerov rail section, part of the future Brno – Přerov high-speed line. The project involves modernising the existing line, doubling the track, installing ETCS, building new station buildings, platforms, and underpasses in Kojetín and Chropyně, removing 14 level crossings, upgrading the Věžky halt, constructing a new passing loop near Bochoř, refurbishing bridges and culverts, and building a new 120-metre bridge over the River Morava in Kojetín. The line will allow trains to run at speeds up to 200 km/h, doubling the current speed.
